Norma, I wish I got to sleep in this morning! Like you, I have been out and about. I've gotten three loads of laundry done, with several more to go. Every week I promise myself I'm not going to save it all for the weekend, but it always seems to turn out that way.

I went to the cosmetology school and had DD1 cut and color my hair and wax my eyebrows. With my family discount, it only came to $20. She was given an estimated graduation date of December 18. Woohoo! I can't wait to ship her out into the working world - lol!

I finally got a turkey yesterday at Target - 88
cents a lb. I was hoping to get a 16 or 17 lb. one but the biggest they had was 12 lbs. I guess it just wasn't my year for turkey!

My big plans for this weekend are doing laundry and some major paper decluttering. I really have let it pile up, and I am sick of looking at it.

Connie, I am so glad to hear that your dh is so happy. I wish you all the best of luck in your new life!

I got a paper mountain to tackle. Talk to you later.

I've been running all day picking GS nuts, running each dd to a birthday party of course not at the same time. Made up a grocery list will stop on the way home from taking dd1 to her party.

I tried to sleep in this morning, but I am having some pain, so no sleep. I will be so relieved when my surgery is over. Just under 7 weeks to go!

Just a Black Friday shopping hint: if you click on the "ultimate coupons" logo (the penguin guy) in my sig line, that site has a whole lot of Black Friday coupons as well as deals good on plenty of other days. There are articles, tips and links.

Charlotte, I'm glad you were able to save your computer from the virus. Good idea to restore it to a previous date.

Jean, I hope you will quickly have a reduction in the pain you're experiencing!

Connie, get well soon! And here I thought you were just busy with packing, etc for the move.

Norma, I have a signal light out in my car. That's on my Monday agenda!

I sent coupons out to my Shop Rite coupon buddies.

Big DS gets home from his trip to Mississippi today. We're waiting for the "pick me up at school" phone call. They get a school bus from the airport back to school. We're only 5 minutes away from school, so no big deal.

I have no energy, still coughing but not as much. I am on steroids so hopefully tomorrow will be better. Crazy to think this is all from inflamation nothing else.

CONNIE - Congrats on the "new hubby" (hehe). When do you get to join him?

FRUGAL today - not so much! Wasn't going to leave home. DH found a computer he liked on O.D. add for a very reasonable price. More memory, faster, etc. than his old one. Went and bought it. Now trying to get it all working. Can get Internet with a wire right now, but wireless needs our "Security Key". *****Any ideas where one finds that info???? Or do I need to call Internet provider?
I really don't look forward to that - NO ONE understands basic English!!!! GGRRRRR

Cleaned tub, sink, toilet. Put new security strips in tub. Hung new vinyl and cloth shower curtains (bought ages ago). Polished kitchen cabinets. Mopped (on hands & knees) kitchen floor. Spent half of day trying to get computer set up. What a pain. Did one load of laundry.

My back is killing me. I'm pooped. Tomorrow is another day!!! Today sure was a beautiful day.

Laurie, no our electric rates haven't increased recently, they are currently applying for an increase though. I read my electric meter today and it looks like my bill will be about $18 more this time than last month. I'll try to be extra careful in the next month and see how it goes.

Cheryl, your little log cabin sounds so neat. Glad dh was able to get the computer he wanted.

Ellen, the way I handle perishables with shopping every 4 weeks is I buy enough to last 2 weeks when I shop or almost 2 weeks. Then we do fill in with canned fruits and veggies if we run out. My dh gets paid every 2 weeks so I allow quite a bit more grocery money one paycheck for my big shopping. Then the next 2 week check I fill in with fresh milk, fruit and veggies from a local store. The reason I shop every 4 weeks is because we live in a small resort area and prices are rather high. We are 60-90 minutes one way from the city where they have all the big box stores and chain grocery stores. It is well worth the time and gas to shop there. For instance Lactaid milk that I use is $4.49 a half gallon up here, $3.39 at Target today. Sara Lee pies ON SALE up here $4.88, $2.98 at WinCo today. Blue Diamond almonds that my dh is currently obsessed with $3.49 here, $2.21 there. So when every product is around a dollar savings I feel I have to do this. Plus it is a day out for the two of us, we eat lunch out and he gets to shop for Hot Wheels which you can't even buy up here, at least you can't find any new ones.

Norma, the forgetting your jewelry was God's way of showing you that headlight was out. Glad you were able to get it fixed the same day.

Kathy, sorry you couldn't find a better deal on a turkey. I was thinking of just buying a breast but we shopped at WinCo for most of the groceries and they had Jennie O turkeys for 25c a lb. if you spent over $50 so I only spent $3.93 for my bird. Stupid me though didn't think of it til we were unpacking groceries at home, I had over $100 and told dh I should have split it into 2 orders and gotten 2 cheap turkeys, duh!

Connie, I'm happy to hear your dh loves his new job. Hope you will be completely well soon.

Mish, glad you were able to get your vehicle fixed. My heater is acting up and dh will be looking at it this week. As long as you are driving with your foot on the gas it is fine, when you just idle it starts blowing cold air instead of hot, grrr. I was following a slow car the other day so no foot on the gas and it started the cold air thing, after he turned off and I sped up it got warm again. Again let it idle at a stop light, same thing, cold.

Barb, sorry you are having pain, that surgery can't come soon enough can it?

It's pretty cool this evening, usually I'm the cold one and dh is warm blooded but he got cold tonight and started a fire, it does feel good but I wasn't going to ask for one. Usually he starts one for me in the mornings before he leaves for work, such a wonderful hubby.

Spent the night in the hospital with my dh last night. He was admitted yesterday and he is home now. They still don't know whats wrong but they have ruled out certain things. He goes for another test Dec 2 so hopefully that one will show the doctor what is wrong. He has lost 8 pounds since Wednesday. I am so tired but I was so blessed that the nurse brought me one of those hopsital chairs that folds out into a bed.

Connie, that is great news about your dh loving his new job. I hope this will be a new happy beginning for all of you. I hope you get all better soon.

Cheryl, the log cabin sounds like something I would love. I love the lights and decorations for the holidays.

Jacki, I need to follow your lead and do big grocery shopping instead of going to the store all the time.

Mish, hope your dd feels better soon.

Kathy, thats great you can get your hair and things done so cheaply.Your dd will be able to make a good living with cutting hair.

Barb, I am sorry you are feeling bad. I hope the surgery will take care of your problems.

Chris, hope you have enjoyed your girls day out.

Lisa, how is your ds liking his new job?

Norma, thanks for adding my dh to your prayers and also to anyone who has. We sure appreciate anyones prayers.

I bought two turkey breasts because I can't lift a big turkey this year and to be honest I hope to have a dinner but thats not even a for sure thing right now. Dh has to work on Thanksgiving if he is able to so we will have wait and see.

Well everyone have a good night.

Jeandeanette

I hope your dh is feeling a little better and that they can find out what is wrong with him.

Barbzy

I hope you have something to help with the pain and that the next 7 weeks goes quickly.

Connie

I'm glad to hear your dh is much happier with the new job and hope you continue to feel better.

I haven't been online today or much yesterday, busy with the store move.. I had to go back out to the suppliers for the third time today as we put up our new bookcase and actually took the time to put candles on one shelf, fragrance oils on one to see how many would fit and we didn't have near enough product. So far including 2 months rent for the new mall, we've spent close to $500 in investing in the move but have brought in sales over $200 and getting more orders from old customers so the goal is to coast out the rest of the year if we can without investing anything more and paying back our personal account for what we've borrowed.

I did get a good deal at Walmarts yesterday they had the turkeys marked down to 29 cents a lb. I bought 2, there was no minimum money required to get them... so I now have 5 turkeys, one big one for Thanksgiving and 4 small ones for meals over the next couple months.

Well better get off here, I have to wrap some more Dirt soaps to take to Hocking Hills tommorow, that seems to be a steady seller, last week someone bought 3 bars at one time.

My friend Tammy who was the store mgr. down there said she's been talking to some of the other vendors who came from our "old store" and none of them are making any money so they are all leaving the first of the year. We give our written notice and last months rent tommorow, I kept it strictly professional and legal did not give any details as to why we were leaving, I'd rather not get into putting them in defensive mode, we're just done and nothing they can do to coerce into staying.

Take care my friends... I'm sorry I didn't address more posts on here, I care about each and every one of you and hope those who are not feeling well will get better soon.

Anna

Jean and Barb, I have you in my prayers for better health.
I had my appt. with the specialist today, and I will be having the gastrophic test on Dec. 31. I couldn't believe that they were booking on New Years' Eve day. Great way to spend New Year's Eve! They give you something to make you groggy, spray your throat with something and insert a camera on a tube to look around your chest & stomach. All this because I have trouble swallowing sometimes. I feel it is a bit over the top, but dh thinks I should do it, to rule out anything harmful. I'm beginning to be tired of dr's appts. and such. I had an appt. at 1 o'clock today, wasn't taken in until 2:30 and out at 3:00, meawhile dh and the pups were waiting in the car in the parking lot. Grrr.
Dd was over tonight with dgd's, and she finally told me that her & her h are going to split up, fairly soon, as soon as she can get her finances and her ducks in a row. Nothing lost here, he is quite useless.
Time to snuggle in, goodnight all

JoAnne
